I’ve been getting alot of practice with Houston web design works recently. I’ve also gotten to flex my programming and coding skills by optimizing all types of web site environments. The types of site setups vary but some include static page web sites where the pages are all separate static files that are pulled individually from the server per an http browser request. These types of sites range from base HTML, to asp, php and the occasional cold fusion file formats. I’m also working with a number of different CMS platforms
As far as my Houston web design portfolio goes, alot of my work can be found here. I’ve recently made some significant changes to my site, so this will need to be updated over time…to reflect my best works. I think its worth mentioning that I think that my approach to web design has changed significantly over my time in the industry. I have always worked to produce the best product with quality of design and function in mind. Design is important because it evokes feeling and that reflects on the product or business being displayed.
Function is also important on the web because it contributes to user experience. The over all look and feel or, design, can often be visualized in an imaging program like Fireworks or Photoshop. However, this concept then needs to be set into motion using the graphics exported out from the imaging program and the web programmers tool set like: HTML, CSS, PHP, javascript or any other means to get the concept to behave in a way that provides the best user viewing experience. Web mechanic might be a term that would be relevant to explain the design process since we seem to tinker with and adjust code to set the design up. Quality control is also considered when we test the way the site behaves on multiple devices including mobile, and multiple operating systems and browsers.

I also get to work with a horde of different Content Management Systems. These include:
- WordPress (probably my favorite flavor)
- Joomla
- Drupal
- ModX
- The occasional custom CMS
Graphics applications make web design work much more enjoyable. One of the most versatile programs I have had the pleasure to use since 1996 is Adobe Photo shop. Photoshop can be leveraged to produce unique optimized web graphics. Its an invaluable resource to any designer
